Preview

The right section would be the Preview showing how the users would use the prompt, simulating the requests and responses.

Notice, the Instrustions would stick to the top of the input box to indicate the users what to put down in the variables.

It is highly recommended for creators to keep some conversations in the Preview before publishing, because creators can choose the conversations as the demo in the introduction page of the prompt.

The preview section is on the right

Creators may use the brush icon on the top right corner to clear chat history

To reset the input for the variables, you may click the eraser on the bottom right corner:

Step 4: Debug and Optimize

After configuring retrieval strategies, you can debug and optimize responses to ensure they meet expectations:

  1. Use the preview area to test queries in the prompt / character editing page.

  2. Review responses and examine recalled content fragments. If the response isn't as expected:

    1. Check if the correct knowledge base is linked.

    2. Verify if content segmentation is appropriate.

    3. Adjust retrieval strategies.

If the content fragments are correct, but the response still falls unqualified:

  • Optimize the prompts to be more specific.

  • Adjust fragment length to reduce interference.

  • Switch to a different model.
